6 B2B Marketing events you need to attend in 2018

B2B marketing events have been helping introverted marketing and technology people have awkward IRL conversations for as long as I can remember. While evidence suggests that digital marketing spend is on the up (to the detriment of traditional marketing spend) face-to-face gatherings - or events marketing - are one method of getting the word out about businesses and products that won’t be chopped anytime soon.

According to the Event Marketing 2018: Benchmarks and Trends report, the majority (80%) of marketers believe live events are critical to their company’s success. An overwhelming majority of C-Suite executives (87%) believe in the power of live events and plan on investing in them more in the future.

Love them or hate them, marketing and trade events are still the best way to network, learn about new trends, spy on the competition, and hand out your business card (anyone still use those?) Whether as an exhibitor or attendee, they offer vital opportunities for digital marketers to practice what we preach by making personal connections with our customers and peers.

If you’ve siphoned off a portion of your 2018 marketing budget to attend or network at live events - but are still undecidedly which one you will grace with your presence this year - we’ve listed our top 5. You’re welcome. :)
